Williams Woodlot Services
Testimonials
Kevin Holland
"Tyna did a great job. We had waterlines that went through the harvest site and he was very thorough in the planning stage to ensure no damage would occur. He is also a tidy operator... He left the harvest site tidier than it was when he started. Full of praise for the young feller."
Steve Risi
"Tyna has harvested woodlots for us for the last two years. The jobs were run safe and efficiently with respect to the dairy farm operating alongside. Payment was made in full on time with any extra going back to the grower and the tidy up was excellent. We plan to use Tyna for future harvesting."
Grant Cameron
"Tyna is a tidy forestry operator. He is reliable, trustworthy and communicates effectively. He prepared and harvested our woodlot very efficiently and we were please with the resulting return on investment."
Comittment to Excellence
Tyna Williams did a stint in rowing for Hamilton Boys High School, Waikato Region and Rowing New Zealand. Rowing facilitated his respect for excellent craftsmanship, leadership and hardwork that his family passed to him. Soon after rowing Tyna went into a full time position logging and saw-milling with the family and found a focus in forestry.
Tyna's first four years in the family business were spent learning the trade and how the industry works. He has since honed his expertise in forestry and now owns and operates Williams Woodlot Services.
Tyna is an avid hunter and family man. Here he is pictured with his partner Kerri at the Halberg Awards. She is a world champion and world record holder... A much more accomplished rower than him!

Williams Family in Waikato
The Williams family has been involved in forestry since 1981. For the last 11 years we have been selling and freighting our own wood, mainly to the export market and on the odd occasion to local domestic mills. Since 1993 we have added a portable saw-milling business to the current forestry operation to custom mill for clients specific needs. We design and build a range of buildings and homes that we sell as kit-sets or as engineered cons. In 2018 we added a firewood processing business to our operation as it was getting harder and less profitable to get rid of our waste wood on our logging jobs, but this has now been utilized and has added value to our core business.
